BMW R51/3 1952 - letters stamped on the thooted clutch ring

Hello all.
I have Z and T stamped on this ring, and am intending to assemble the clutch.
I wonder why are they there for? AFAIK they can't be seen from the inspection window of the engine cast.

they can´t be seen?#Normally is "Z" for the ignitionspoint at idle (or lower)....and "T" must be "OT" for the highest point of the piston (oberer Totpunkt)

Thank you for your reply.
Well, I assume they can't be seen, probably I'm wrong here.
How do I use them? Is there an article on the web that explains how to calibrate the engine with these marks? Couldn't find it in the workshop manual.
